"Once Upon a Time..." Anthology

Zamani Foundation's "Once Upon a Time..." anthology is composed of original works of art and literature created by children in Primary and Secondary Schools and generous Patrons of the Anthology. Zamani Foundation will run an annual contest to invite the creativity of children from all backgrounds to participate.

In addition to appearing in the "Once Upon A Time..." Anthology, works of exceptional merit will also be published electronically for the Zamani Foundation Library.

The proceeds from the sale of the "Once Upon a Time..." anthology, together with public and private funding, all go back into the participating schools to help establish and improve libraries, provide computers and other school supplies from pens and notebooks to school uniforms.

Mentorship

mentorship

Through the "Once Upon A Time..." Anthology we are developing a community based arts and literary mentorship program to engage local writers and artists as mentors.

The program is designed to run over the course of the academic year during which students collect local folklore and mythology, thus actively engaging in the continued vitality of their heritage. With the guidance of their mentors the children use their oral tradition to create new works of art and literature. The year's efforts will culminate in the publication of the most outstanding of these new works in Zamani Foundation Anthology.

Publish in Zamani Chronicles!

Zamani Chronicles will accept submissions of stories, works of art, or essays based on folklore and mythology. All contributions are registered in the Zamani Foundation Libarary and considered for the Anthology. We will contact each contributor and those whose works selected for publication will receive a contract.
